I didn't just study in Germany. I built a career here.
BeyondBordersDE exists because I couldn't find the guidance I needed when I started, so I built the resource I wished I'd had.
Like many of the students I now work with, I started with a stack of open browser tabs, half-answered forum threads, and a lot of uncertainty about whether Germany was even the right move.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Germany, followed by a Master's degree, and I currently live and work here full-time. In the years between my first application and my current job offer, I went through every stage this platform now guides students through: APS certification, blocked accounts, health insurance paperwork, the apartment hunt in a city I'd never visited, my first German-language interactions at the Bürgeramt, working student jobs, internship applications in a competitive market, and eventually, the transition into a full-time role.
None of it was as difficult as it looked from the outside, but almost none of it was explained clearly, either.
Most consultants I came across were focused on one thing: getting the admission letter. What happens after was treated as "figure it out once you're there." BeyondBordersDE is built to close that exact gap, with guidance that reflects what actually happens, not what looks good in a brochure.
